It was a fairly last minute decision to go to this race, I was double booked but a cancellation on the Tuesday before the race meant I was able to get my entry in and look forward to racing at this track for the first time in.....(does sums).... 22 years!
I made my actual racing debut here back in 2000 in the 750 MC Locost Series and have always loved the track - it`s a short lap but it`s got a bit of everything.
Following on from the strong entry at Donington Park - we had 9 Pumas line up this time on a total grid of 19 - We really are becoming the dominant force in our races, the next biggest class had 5 cars in it!
Qualifying was a bit exploratory for me, with no testing nor recent experience at the track I had no idea where we`d be but I drove my little heart out and Wooders, as always delivered nicely.
It was tight at the top and pole was being disputed by myself and the ever present, Jamie Clare.
Very pleased to say though that we prevailed and took our maiden Pole Position of the season, can we convert it to the win??
Hope you enjoy the video of our race :-)
