Puma Cup - Round 6 - Castle Combe - Jon Glover

I`ve only ever driven about 5 laps round Castle Combe, that was in a different car, nearly 10 years ago.  To say I didn`t know the circuit would be about right, I mean, I know which way the corners go but I certainly didn`t know where the braking points, turning points etc are to make the most of the line.

A track walk on Friday helped but......it`s all very different when you are going close to 100mph on the approach to Quarry Corner.

Mark also got to debut the new Guroba merch.........

Saturday morning and all was set....go out in qually and drive the nuts off the car in the hope of getting pole position.

That was the plan anyway but Gareth Cotgrove had other ideas and pushed us back into 2nd place.

we were scheduled to be the first race after the lunch break so the club decided to get us all on the grid in advance so the public could come and wander round the cars, get some pics taken and chat to the drivers.  It was a great feature and addition to the weekend, I hope we get to do that again sometime!
