Ok so this was a first for me, in the 6 years we`ve had Woodstock and in the 25 years I`ve been racing, this is the first time my racecar has been at a racetrack without me!

This round co-incided with my Summer holiday to Nashville to go see the Indycar finale with my mate Jules so Ian and Wooders were both being looked after by MnM.  It`s an odd feeling when you are the other side of the world and there is a Puma Cup race going on!

MnM were once again, just great - Mike came loaded up Woodstock and towed him all the way to Brands while Mark followed, they got everything set up and ready for qualifying.

For me, in Tennessee, that was about 4am but no way was I going to miss it.  I only had TSL to go on so just sat watching the page refresh every 58s or so.  It was tight at the top but.....he did it!  POLE POSITION!  Nice one Ian :-)

Mark was quickly on the phone to me to debrief and keep me up to speed - I was glad to have got up early to find all this out live but....try going back to sleep after that!

That particular Saturday I was on a steamboat, sippin bourbon on Broadway and playing live on stage at the Grand Ole Opry, yes, that actually happened and yes I have proof!

Meanwhile, Ian was lining up in Pole Position, ready to take on Brands Indy and try to claim that elusive first Puma Cup win, here`s how it went!
