Back to where it all began for the final round of the PC season.  This time last year Ian made his debut with us and finished an amazing 2nd place that day.  Since then, despite being quick enough for some wins, the top step has eluded him so hopes are high for this round.

Team Guroba got the track nice and early, we ran most of Thursday as a track day to help get mine and Marks eyes in ahead the Birkett at Silverstone and also to let Mike have some laps as a thank you for his work this year.

Now while Thursday went well, Friday did not.

The plan was for Ian driver coach, Paul, to get some laps for data and then Ian would work towards that and unlock as much pace ready for Saturday as possible.  That plan came to pieces though as after only a couple of laps Paul brought the car back saying there were noises he didn`t like and the gearbox was being iffy on the upshifts.

After some under bonnet tinkering the decision was made to get Wooders back to Hadfield HQ in Derbyshire for a new engine and gearbox.  Seems overkill and maybe it was but we could have spent all our available time diagnosing an issue then have no time to fix it.  Smart move but we lost all of Friday as a result.

I got Wooder back to the paddock at about 10pm on Friday after a herculean effort by Team Hadfield, specifically Marcus and Mark - both amazing and then we all went to bed to see what Saturday would bring.....

Hope you enjoy the video!
